Recently, I've been learning to love cocoa. Apple has gotten all sorts of
things right, from Interface Builder, through to core bindings. Much like
my python page, I'm going to try cataloguing a few bits
and pieces here.
CKAddressBook - ABAddressBook isn't terribly useful from inside of
Interface Builder. The problem is that fields are
not defined in ABPerson, making use with an NSArrayController rather difficult at best.
CKAddressBook is designed to make using the AddressBook in
Interface Builder (outside of the PeopleChooser), a simple
proposition. This is in no way complete (or even error checked),
rather it's just a step forward on the AddressBook train.
rdesktop - While not a cocoa app, I compiled
rdesktop for OSX, on Intel. Try using rdesktop instead of Remote
Desktop Connection. Simply untar the tarball to
/stow/stow/rdesktop-1.5.0.
