What is
gnupower.net?
Originally, gnupower.net was a site to publish my code, photos,
ramblings, and just about everything else. Unfortunately, that
meant that things needed to be updated frequently, especially when
I was trying to update my ramblings. From here on in, I'm just
going to post things. They'll be updated randomly, which I'm sure
I'll prefer.
So why
gnupower.net?
At first, I was a huge fan of the GNU Public
License (GPL), especially as part of my linux work. Over the last few
years, I've come to recognize that I'm not a big fan of the GPL in
particular, and really prefer the MIT license. Unfortunately, I already owned the domain,
almost everyone I knew had the address, and it would be rather
difficult to change. So instead, I'll keep it, publishing things
from here.
How is gnupower.net
made?
Over the years, I've toyed with doing things by hand, using header
generating techniques in php and python, and most recently, iWeb. I've
realized that I have no graphic skills, and would be much better
off using some sort of template generating system. I've finally
settled on RapidWeaver, especially since it came as part of the
MacHeist bundle. I
couldn't be happier!
